These are some photos taken on a trip to Dominica, a beautiful and some what undeveloped island although it is an eco island with hiking tours and other land based activities and of course the prerequisite scuba diving. We stayed at the Castle Comfort Dive Lodge and dove with Dive Dominica which is on site. Night diving there is exceptional with basket coral unfurled and electric rays scattered about in the sand. As seen in video we were fortunate enough to catch the Black Pearl of Pirates of the Caribbean fame on location when the third movie was being shot. The people are friendly and speak English. You get quite a tour on the ride from the airport to the lodge. We had a package with the lodge providing two meals a day usually with two choices of entree, very good food and sometimes interesting. After making your flight reservations keep aclose watch on them as the small commuter lines sometimes just go out of business and don't bother to notify anyone. The diving is well worth the trip. |
